英国高中课程A-level便是受到关注较多的课程之一，为什么要选择它？它又有何优势？但是不是每个科目都适合你。

官方给出的说法是所有A-level科目地位平等，转换成UCAS成绩的时候是一样的，有时大学会根据指定科目发放offer。

不过也有例外，多数情况下General Studies是不接受的申请科目，Critical Thinking也经常被排除在外。但是，一些大学表示，如果学生成绩差一点过线，这些科目分数很高可以弥补。

但是…我们不能就这么信了…

其实，名校录取的时候，更喜欢“硬”学科，也有一小撮学校会给出科目“黑名单”。

不过说“黑名单”有点太严重了，有时候这个名单上的一两个科目与其他科目一起申请，大学也会接受。如果想申请某所学校，还是听取他们的建议比较好，但别家大学却不一定适用，因为招生官的喜好不同。

一般认为选择facilitating subjects，也就是一堆科学、还有历史和英语这种“traditional”科目不会出错，确实这样，但也还是要具体情况具体分析。比如说，选择4门科学科目确实看起来很有技术含量，可是如果你想申请英语或历史专业，那么就很可笑。所选科目是否受重视，要看专业“重视”的是什么。

剑桥大学三一学院表示，不仅参考单独的A-level科目，还会看科目组合。比较欢迎 ‘facilitating subjects’：

每一门A-level语言课程都可以算作一科“facilitating subject”。但是不同科目，又都有具体的A-Level课程要求。比方说申经济课程，A-level经济可以算作一门 facilitating subject；申音乐专业，A-level音乐算作一门facilitating subject。不同专业有不同的具体要求，需要以查询为准。

LSE

LSE也是一样，不光看单科成绩，也看你的A-level组合，不同专业可能会有具体科目要求。

LSE认为traditional科目申请更有竞争力，也给出一些不是太有竞争力的科目名单，这样的科目只能跟两门传统科目组合。
